A NOTE
ABOUT EROTIC SERIES
Slick Friction
will be publishing erotica series. However, you must have
the first book in the series finished and accepted for
publication as well as have a full synopsis written for the
next book in the series.
Please note within your initial submission that you have
plans for a sequel or a series using the same characters and
settings. All other guidelines for a series are the same as
for submissions for erotic novels.
Submissions should be double-spaced, Times New Roman, font
size 12 and sent as Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx) or rich
text format (.rtf) files.
All files should be named using the following convention:
title_author_wordcount
For example:
Snakes and Honey_Scarlet Madwin_78,949
The subject line of the email should read:
Submission for title, author, word count
For example:
Submission for Snakes and Honey, Scarlet Madwin, 78,949
For novel submissions, please send the first 3 chapters or
the first 5000 words (whichever comes first) as well as an in-depth synopsis.
Both should be included as attachments to your
e-mail query. In the body of your e-mail query, please include a
brief overview of the novel, note that it is the first book
in a proposed series and a short (150 words
or less) biography.
We do accept multiple submissions, however, they should be
sent in separate e-mails so they can be more easily tracked.
Unfortunately, the editors of Slick
Friction do not always have time to respond personally
to each submission. If we are interested in publishing your
novella, we will contact you within 3 months of
submission and ask you to submit your complete manuscript. If you have not heard from us within 90 days,
you may assume we will not be using your story. Simultaneous submissions to other publishers are
acceptable, but you must make us aware of this in your
e-mail and keep us apprised of your story's situation.
PAYMENT FOR EROTIC NOVELS
If your novel is listed for sale in our online
bookstore, you will receive 33% royalties which are paid
quarterly. If your novel is published in print format, you
will receive 17% of the retail price. See our contract and payment page for complete
details on this process.
